Hi, I'm Paul

All about me.

Paul Fioroni has worn many hats: professional athlete, coach, nonprofit founder, and business leader but writing has always been part of who he is. Raised in Toronto in a tight-knit, multicultural family, Paul grew up surrounded by cousins, grandparents, and strong family traditions. He chased his dream of playing professional hockey from Ontario to Alberta, eventually carving out a nine-year career that included a long run as captain of the Lubbock Cotton Kings.

While hockey shaped much of his early life, Paul was also writing behind the scenes. He finished his first sci-fi story at 13, published poetry in his twenties, and later tried his hand at screenwriting. Those early drafts would eventually grow into The Colors of the Rift, a fantasy novella that draws inspiration from authors like Tolkien and Terry Goodkind. Paul’s writing brings together imagination, structure, and lessons from his personal and professional life.
